Encouraging Sports
INOX believes that sports can not only act as a means for rejuvenation and fitness, but it can also instill qualities of leadership, sportsmanship, discipline, hard work and dedication among the youth. Keeping this in mind, INOX supports initiatives that use sports as a medium to encourage learning and as a tool for development.
Shree Hazrimal Somani Trust runs Somani School that provides sports training to 2,300 students, of which 1,000 are girls. We provided the school with financial aid to construct a Football ground - a full size FIFA approved field with artificial turf for students in the school premises.
INOX also supported the Vadodara International Marathon and provided financial support to help organise Divyang Paralympics Run 2017. The run was organised with the aim to encourage sports for the differently abled and to spread awareness about disabilities among the general public.
With the aim of promoting sports as a platform for empowerment and ensuring that our talented Paralympic athletes get the support they require and deserve, INOX Group joined hands with GoSports Foundation to reward the achievements of current and former Indian Paralympic medallists through Mr. Sachin Tendulkar.
The Group strives hard to ensure that achievements of differently-abled individuals are celebrated on par with able-bodied athletes, and we are happy to have contributed in opening doors for talented Paralympic athletes to consider sport as a potential career option.
We have also been financially supporting Dribble Academy, which uses sports as a tool to improve the quality of life of children from economically marginalised sections of society. It trains more than 700 underprivileged kids in Basketball in Noida's Gejha village. The Academy is not just helping kids adapt an active lifestyle but it is also equipping them in ways of life through basketball.
